Chef Tom Cuomo is excited to announce a reimagined atmosphere and tasting menu at Papa Shogun, his unique restaurant concept featuring classic Italian dishes that incorporate traditional Japanese ingredients and techniques. Chef Cuomo's newly invented space and menu will reopen to the public on Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2019. The first week will be devoted to dinner hours only, with regular lunch and dinner hours returning after the first week. Papa Shogun is located in Seaboard Station at 111 Seaboard Ave. #118, Raleigh, NC 27604. Chef Cuomo's new Italian-Japanese tasting menu concept will be the first of its kind on the East Coast.

Chef Nunzio Scordo announces his next steps in the culinary industry following the sale of his restaurant, Bodega Tapas, Wine and Rum. Last week, it was announced that Chefs Serge Falcoz-Vigne and Horacio Rodriguez would be taking over ownership of the downtown Wake Forest restaurant. In addition, in the last few weeks, Chef Scordo sold half of his ownership of Driftwood Kitchen & Bar to his two long-time managers who are now his partners. After these changes, Chef Scordo is eager to begin a new journey, including his passion for baking.

Chefs Serge Falcoz-Vigne and Horacio Rodriguez, both formally of the award-winning Saint Jacques French Cuisine restaurant in Raleigh, will be taking on ownership of Bodega, Tapas, Wine, and Rum beginning today, December 4, 2019. Former owner and chef of the Wake Forest restaurant, Nunzio Scordo, says that Falcoz-Vigne and Rodriguez are the perfect candidates to take on his vision of Bodega and make it their own. Bodega Tapas, Wine and Rum is located in downtown Wake Forest at 110 South White Street, Wake Forest, NC 27587.

Nomad, a new global fusion restaurant opening in early 2020 in Hillsborough, NC, is hosting a pop-up at Viceroy this Tuesday, November 19 from 6pm to 9pm; 335 Main Street, Durham, North Carolina 27701. The pop-up will offer diners a "sneak peek" of Nomad's menu before the restaurant opens to the public. Guests are invited to visit Viceroy during the pop-up hours to try delicious bites from Nomad and grab a drink from the Viceroy bar.

Chef-Owner Teddy Diggs of Coronato, the first Roman style pizzeria in North Carolina, is hosting a "Truffled Pizza Feast" on Sunday, December 8th. Through this special dinner, Diggs will celebrate one of Italy’s most treasured ingredients with an unforgettable pizza party that cannot be missed.

After months of renovation to the former ān cuisines space in Cary, NC, kō•än announces an opening date of November 1, 2019. With a focus on humble, tranquil, “food for thought,” kō•än brings a renewed energy and feel to Cary’s dining scene. kō•än’s menu is focused on sharing food that celebrates the unsung heroes of Southeast Asian cuisine. Driftwood Southern Kitchen has been a cornerstone of Lafayette Village, the popular shopping and dining destination off of Falls of Neuse Road, for the past 5 and a half years. As the restaurant has grown and become a part of the blossoming restaurant scene in North Raleigh, so has their desire to expand the menu to items that are not just classified as Southern dishes.

On Tuesday, November 12, Whiskey Kitchen will host Supper Club No. 8 from 7pm to 10pm. Geared towards the adventurous and curious diner, the 8th edition of Supper Club will feature single malts of whiskey from off the beaten path, paired with the wild game most common in those less-traveled areas.
