Chefs Serge Falcoz-Vigne and Horacio Rodriguez, both formerly of the award-winning Saint Jacques French Cuisine restaurant in Raleigh, will be taking on ownership of Bodega, Tapas, Wine, and Rum beginning today, December 5, 2019. Former owner and chef of the Wake Forest restaurant, Nunzio Scordo, says that Falcoz-Vigne and Rodriguez are the perfect candidates to take on his vision of Bodega and make it their own. Bodega Tapas, Wine and Rum is located in downtown Wake Forest at 110 South White Street, Wake Forest, NC 27587.

Camaraderie
A true story of chefs helping chefs, Falcoz-Vigne, Rodriguez, and Scordo have been friends for many years and have continually confided in each other on both business and cuisine. While envisioning the future of his business, Chef Scordo pictured Chefs Falcoz-Vigne and Rodriguez taking over Bodega as a smooth and easy transition. During this shift in ownership, Chef Scordo has been a great help and mentor. After working together at Saint Jacques for years, the new owners are excited to bring both their friendship and love of cooking into their new restaurant venture as partners.

The Food
Bodega Tapas, Wine and Rum is a boutique restaurant specializing in delicious cold and hot small plates influenced by Mediterranean cuisine. Chef Falcoz-Vigne and Chef Rodriguez appreciate the tapas aspect of Bodega's menu and will continue to uphold Chef Scordo's vision with the addition of some French, Spanish, and Italian influences, as well as more entree options. Chef Falcoz-Vigne also plans to bring his revered escargot to the menu along with other French specialties. Cocktails crafted with house-made ingredients and an impressive wine menu will continue to be an important aspect of Bodega.

Experience
Chef Falcoz-Vigne brings years of culinary experience and expertise to Bodega. After serving as the Executive Chef and General Manager at Saint Jacques for 3 and a half years, he has earned glowing accolades and made a name for himself in the culinary industry. Chef Falcoz-Vigne is eager to begin a new chapter in the industry with Rodriguez, former Sous Chef of Saint Jacques. Their friendship and combined impressive culinary experience will bring an exciting change to the town of Wake Forest, while maintaining what diners enjoy about Bodega. The two chefs are also looking forward to working with all of the talented staff at Bodega, including the current Executive Chef Doug Seeley.
