Chef Teddy Diggs Announces Permanent Location for Coronato, New Roman-Style Pizzeria

Chef Teddy Diggs is excited to reveal the permanent location of Coronato, his new Roman-style pizzeria concept slated to open in spring 2019. Diggs' new restaurant will be a new build in the South Green shopping center and located at 501 S. Greensboro Street, Carrboro, NC 27517. He will continue to host pizza pop-ups for the public until the grand opening of Coronato. His Roman pizzeria is the first of its kind in the South.

Sassool Hosts a Food Blogger “Grocery Challenge” in Honor of Grocery and Retail Expansion

To celebrate Sassool Mediterranean Cafe's new grocery and retail section at their Cary location, owner Mounir Saleh invited nine Triangle food bloggers to participate in a “Grocery Challenge.” The decision was tough and after much deliberation, Kate Kelly of Life of a Ginger was deemed the winner. Her recipe for Pomegranate Chicken with Halloumi Cheese, Tomatoes, and Peppers will be featured during the month of January 2018 at both Sassool Cary and Raleigh locations.

The Bistro at Topsail's Burger Places Top Five in the Nationwide James Beard Foundation's Blended Burger Project™

The Bistro at Topsail’s blended burger, “The Goomba,” receives top five placement in The James Beard Foundation’s (JBF) Blended Burger Project™. Voting ended July 31, 2017 for this nationwide contest and challenge to make a "blended burger" by blending ground meat with finely chopped mushrooms to create a delicious, healthier, and more sustainable burger.
