Sassool Launches “Triangle Food Passport” with other Local Restaurants
In the spring of 2022, Sassool started a Family Dinner program where they invited other restaurateurs to gather and discuss the industry, trends, and to promote collaborations. Through these meetings, the Triangle Food Passport was created. Sassool, along with other local Triangle businesses, have developed a credit card-sized “passport” with offers from twelve different restaurants, cafes, grocers, coffee shops, and ice cream shops. With the purchase of this passport, these local businesses invite diners to redeem each offer and receive a “stamp” on their Triangle Food Passport. The passports are $25 and can be purchased here. A percentage of the proceeds will go toward the Wake Tech Foundation to assist a full-time second-year student pursuing a Culinary Arts degree at Wake Technical Community College.
Participating businesses include:
Sassool Cafe (Cary and Raleigh)
Alpaca Rotisserie Chicken (Raleigh, Garner, Durham, Morrisville, Sanford, Apex, Chapel Hill, and Knightdale)
Craften Food Hall (Knightdale)
Raleigh Rolls (Raleigh)
Big League Waffles (Raleigh)
Coronato Pizza (Chapel Hill)
Cheeni Indian Food Emporium (Raleigh)
Bitten Bakery (Raleigh)
Asali Desserts & Cafe (Cary)
The Butcher’s Market (Raleigh, Cary, Holly Springs, and Wake Forest)
Little Blue Bakehouse (Raleigh)
Andia’s Ice Cream (Raleigh and Cary)

With the purchase of the passport, diners will be automatically entered into a drawing for a three-course meal for two at either Bodega (Wake Forest) or Bloomsbury Bistro (Raleigh). The offers on the passports are redeemable once. The Sassool team hopes the Triangle Food Passport will entice diners to support local businesses and add “traveling” to new places to their New Year resolutions.
