Driftwood Kitchen & Bar's Vanilla Custard Fried French Toast

Aren’t holiday traditions the best?! One thing we always look forward to is Christmas morning breakfast. Opening presents can really spark your appetite! We can’t think of a better recipe to enjoy with the family during the holidays than Driftwood Kitchen & Bar’s Vanilla Custard Fried French Toast. Try and say that five times fast. 😂

It’s so delicious, crunchy, and filling - the works! Try it out this year and let us know how much the family loved it!

Vanilla Custard Fried French Toast

2 cups heavy cream

2 cups half and half

1 cup brown sugar

1/2 tbsp cinnamon

1/2 tbsp vanilla extract

Use a hand blender to mix all the ingredients. Cut brioche in 1 inch slices, dredge in batter and fry in oil at 350F flipping the bread over half way through cooking (about 3 min each side). Enjoy with whipped cream and maple syrup!
