Look no further than Asali Desserts & Cafe for a holiday activity for all ages. This Cary cafe will be selling Paint Your Own Cookies alongside a host of other festive specials like Christmas Cake Pops, a Christmastown Tart and a Gingerbread Latte! Any of these specials can be custom ordered, as well as their full-sized cakes, pies and cheesecakes. Custom orders must be placed by December 20th and picked up by December 24th. Holiday themed beer and locally-owned gift ideas.
Christmastime is here for beer enthusiasts! Chapel Hill’s Carolina Brewery will be selling their holiday beer, Santa’s Secret, for a limited time. The festive beer is only available on draft, in growlers, and in crowlers (in Pittsboro only). The local brewery is also selling gift cards, sauces and rubs in-store and online, which are perfect gifts for your brew-loving friends.
A Christmas-themed special pizza and gift idea.
Leave it to Coronato Pizza in Carrboro to bring a bit of holiday spirit into a pizza! Coronato’s special “Di Natale” pizza, translating to “Of Christmas” in Italian, is complete with a raw crushed Dinapoli tomato base with shaved garlic, fresh mozzarella, pine nuts, raisins, basil and dried hot pepper, and is finished with extra virgin olive oil and a dusting of pecorino cheese. The pizza is inspired by a unique and rare pasta dish typically made during the holidays called “Sicchie d’a Munnezza,” which Coronato’s chef-owner Teddy Diggs tried on a previous trip to Italy. They also will be selling copies of Dan Richer and Katie Parla's new publication, “The Joy of Pizza,” which makes for a perfect gift for foodies.
Christmas Eve dinner, holiday cocktail menu, and New Year’s Eve 4-course dinner.
This Chapel Hill favorite will be serving a Christmas Eve Dinner, featuring Il Palio’s regular menu. The restaurant will be closed on Christmas Day. They are also debuting a host of December Cocktails and will be taking orders for Panettone Cake throughout the month. To place an order for the Panettone Cake, call (919) 918-2545.
For New Year’s Eve, Il Palio will be serving a special 4-course New Year’s Eve Dinner, starting at $98 per person. They are taking reservations from 5pm to 9pm and you can make them by visiting Il Palio’s website.

Back by popular demand, Kanki’s Snowball Cocktail has returned featuring Malibu rum, cream of coconut, Pearl Nigori Sake and pineapple juice. This creamy and fruity drink is the perfect pairing for your hibachi or sushi dinner. The holiday cocktail is available at the Raleigh and Durham Kanki locations for the month of December only, so sip while you still can!

Nothing says “Happy Holidays” like a little friendly competition! Downtown Raleigh’s popular Thai rolled ice cream concept, Raleigh Rolls, hosted a flavor competition in November with their Instagram followers. The winning flavors are debuting as special holiday offerings available through the entire month of December. Raleigh Rolls ended up having two winners including:
Simone’s Apple Pie: apple pie and Cinnamon Toast Crunch mixed in, topped with Cinnamon Toast Crunch and whipped cream.
Lucy’s Oreo: mint Oreo cookies mixed in and topped with whipped cream, mint Oreo cookies, and crushed candy canes and Oreos.

The festive board is complete with an assortment of delicious items from their market section and deli case. Cookies with Santa, a special holiday-themed cocktail and gift ideas.
STIR, located in Raleigh’s North Hills, will be hosting Cookies with Santa every Tuesday and Thursday until Dec. 23rd in December from 2pm to 4pm. They will also be serving their GINgerbread cocktail – fragrant and spicy notes pair beautifully with a hint of sweet to make the GINgerbread the perfect raised glass for a holiday toast. Made with gin, ginger syrup, fresh pomegranate juice, agave, egg white and a rosemary garnish, this drink is a liquid holiday! Lastly, STIR will be running a gift card promotion where gift card purchases of $50 or more will receive a 20% off bonus gift card.
