STIR to Reopen with Major Enhancements

STIR will reopen its dining room and patio on June 18th. The restaurant has made significant enhancements to its operations and menu offerings. Heather Miro joined the team as STIR’s new executive chef, and the restaurant developed new food, beverage and catering menus, including its lunch and to-go offerings. Now that everything is ready, the restaurant is excited to share these new features with its guests.

Heather Miro Joins STIR as New Executive Chef

Heather Miro has joined STIR as the restaurant’s new and first female executive chef. Born in New Mexico, Miro has lived most of her life in Raleigh and Fayetteville. She has worked for Disney, Yard House and Seasons 52, where she gained expertise in leading kitchens, executing with consistency and developing the talents of her team. Miro now brings her balance of execution and skill to STIR. “STIR is a great fit for my background. We make everything from scratch and elevate classic dishes through the highest quality ingredients and proper technique,” Miro says. “I am eager to mentor my team and cultivate their passion for the art of cooking. I cannot wait to start cooking for the Triangle.”

New Food and Beverage Menus

In addition to bringing on Miro, STIR has made many other enhancements to the restaurant’s offerings. When it reopens, the restaurant will boast new food, beverage and catering menus.

New items and popular specials have been added to the menu. STIR’s Vegan Poke Bowl is now offered alongside its popular Tuna Poke Bowl. Spicy Chicken Samosas, the Crispy Mahi Bowl and new steak options are also available. New desserts include Green Tea Matcha Cheesecake and Chocolate Espresso Flourless Cake. Guests will also be able to order three varieties of house malted waffles at brunch: Classic, Strawberry Nutella and Chicken and Waffles.

Lunch at STIR has been redesigned with a new menu and to-go options. The new “At Your Desk” items are ready quickly and thoughtfully packaged for pickup and delivery; they have already proven popular in offices around North Hills. STIR will continue to offer pickup and delivery after reopening its dining room and patio, making its entire menu available. New catering options will be ready for private and off-premises events.

STIR’s bar will feature two new craft cocktails. The Sbagliato Negroni replaces gin with prosecco for a lighter, effervescent version of a classic cocktail, while the STIR 75 adds Italian aperitif liqueur for a twist on a French 75.

STIR has also added draft cocktails. This is an innovative way to deliver great drinks to its guests. Initially, four of STIR’s most popular craft cocktails will be offered in draft: the Austin Mule, Elderflower Sour, 1948 Margarita and Strawberry Moon Sangria. Crisp, delicately balanced, and in the case of the Austin Mule, carbonated, STIR’s draft cocktails are extraordinarily refreshing and debut just in time for patio weather.

While the restaurant was closed to diners, STIR’s bar staff procured rare bottles of liquors that guests will be hard-pressed to find anywhere else. Bourbon, scotch and other liquor enthusiasts are invited to enjoy rare spirits, such as Pappy Van Winkle 23 year and Macallan 25 year.

Chris Brett, STIR’s General Manager, hopes that Miro’s presence and the restaurant’s new menus will make a splash at reopening. “We’ve been busy making enhancements to the restaurant, and we can’t wait to share them with our guests,” Brett says. “With a chef, exciting additions to our menus, and the best raw bar and patio in North Hills, STIR will be the perfect place to enjoy summer dining.”
