Get ready for a new and unexpected take on fries! A unique Indian appetizer, Chat Pata Fries are available at Chimney Indian Kitchen in Chapel Hill and Indian Monsoon in Durham. They’re perfectly crispy and seasoned with chat masala, a zingy mixture of spices that includes cumin and chili powder.

When fries are made in house, their flavor and freshness is hard to beat. Take a scenic drive to Robinson Ferry, just an hour north of Raleigh, for great, hand-cut fries and a delicious Double Cheeseburger to match. Pro tip: Executive Chef Ryan Grimm is always coming up with creative new burgers to pair with the Ferry's fries, so when you’re there, be sure to ask about the Burger of the Week!

This list would not be complete without STIR’s Parmesan White Truffle Fries! Their house-cut fries are drizzled with white truffle oil and freshly shredded parmesan cheese. They’re made for sharing and best enjoyed with plenty of STIR’s scratch-made ranch dressing. Head to North Hills in Raleigh to enjoy them on the patio with a summer cocktail in hand.

Who needs nachos when there are Carne Asada Fries? Latin Effect owner Bert Chedrani grew up in San Diego and brought this West Coast favorite to the Triangle, along with a menu full of exciting Honduran flavor. When you catch his food truck, order the large size Carne Asada Fries and make a meal out of them! Topped with marinated carne asada, scratch-made guacamole, sour cream and cheese, you’ll be craving them for days to come.

Last but certainly not least are Il Palio's Truffle Fries. They accompany a 21 Day Aged DemKota Ribeye that is grilled to perfection and served with a white balsamic hollandaise sauce. A decadent must-try for anyone who craves the perfect steak with their fries, ask Il Palio’s sommelier for a wine recommendation that would perfectly compliment your meal.
