Friends of Tabletop: Meet Keisha From TheKeishaJ

We are so excited to continue our monthly series highlighting the many social influencers and bloggers who have become not only our colleagues, but our friends throughout our journey with Tabletop Media Group. Last year, we started a new series here on the #TabletopTalk blog called, “Friends of Tabletop.” We’re here to spread some positivity and highlight the bloggers + influencers who we enjoy collaborating with and who are so incredibly talented!

This month, we’re featuring Keisha from TheKeishaJ. Keisha is a food and lifestyle blogger who covers the Triangle area and beyond. Check out our fun Q&A with her!

Tell us about TheKeishaJ.

I am the owner, content creator of TheKeishaJ Blog, sharing food and lifestyle news based in Raleigh, North Carolina and beyond. TheKeishaJ is for everyone out there who wants to explore unique quality restaurants, eateries, products, and entertainment.

I share with my readers and viewers what I feel is good for my body, mind, and spirit. So if you see me eating a juicy beef burger, drinking matcha tea, and getting a spa treatment in one day. That is my version of living #TheKeishaJ way. I am here to inspire, inform and entertain in hope to bring up good living discussions.

TheKeishaJ distinguishes itself with entertaining Vlogs and Food Skits. It is a growing unique brand, delivering high quality video and photographic content into an authentic story-telling review that the audience can enjoy.

Why do you write about food + Triangle area happenings?

Being who I am, Keisha TheKeishaJ Foodie, it is very therapeutic to write about food, drinks, and lifestyle experiences that the Triangle area has to offer.

So much is changing in Raleigh, North Carolina where I was born and raised. I have moved and lived out of state for a decade. Now I am back learning that “Raleigh is Growing” and also other areas of the Triangle - Cary, Durham, and Chapel Hill. I actually feel good writing about local restaurants, brand/products, lifestyle services, and much more happenings in the area. I am grateful to have an audience who enjoys to read and listen to what I have to say. My blog is the best way to reconnect with my city.

What are you currently reading?

How To Eat To Live by Elijah Muhammad.

It is a series of two books. Right now I am on Book One.

What's your favorite ice cream flavor?

Fruity Pebbles, make it into a popsicle or an ice cream sandwich. What will make it even better? If it’s vegan ice cream, since I am lactose-intolerant.

What is your least favorite food?

Pork is my least favorite food. I have so many reasons why I no longer eat pork. Let’s just say for health reasons.

What about favorite food?

I love food so much! I must admit my Grandmother’s famous lasagna is my favorite food. She only makes it once a year and it is worth the wait. It is a 3-layered lasagna with ground beef, turkey italian sausage, cottage cheese, ricotta cheese and the family secret ingredient is in the sauce.

Bar order?

I am a social drinker meaning I only drink on special occasions. I do enjoy drinking a Moscow Mule cocktail. It is vodka, ginger beer (my favorite taste) and freshly squeezed lime juice. When I am not at the bar, I am drinking green tea or matcha tea, and water on a daily basis for my body to hydrate, burn calories and increase my metabolism.

If you could redo one thing in regards to your blogging / social influencer career what would it be?

I wish I would have started my blog sooner when I traveled to 16 states including Georgia, Texas, Wyoming, 3 countries: France, Italy, and Spain. I would have started my Instagram and YouTube at the same time. Along with a website. However it is never too late to start. I am confident I will be able to build my YouTube platform and website how I desire it. If you know anyone who is willing to help, you can reach out to me.
