Friends of Tabletop Christmas Edition 🎄: Meet Andi Wallace!
Friends of Tabletop is a place where we share who we love working with. This can range from a client, influencer/blogger, or special someone who simply means a lot to the Tabletop Team. Colleagues and friends who we’ve met throughout our journey with Tabletop Media Group make us a part of who we are.
For our December Friends of Tabletop, meet North Carolina food and travel blogger, Andi Wallace!
Tell us about your blog and Youtube channel.
My social and Youtube channel are all about food and travel. I love showing people that travel doesn’t have to be far, it can be a day trip or staycation and eating well when you get there!
Why do you write and video about NC food & travel?
I write about NC Food & Travel because during the pandemic when travel really wasn’t an option I knew I needed to scratch that itch and I learned to love my home state again. Plus there are so many great locally owned businesses, I just had to share.
What is your favorite Christmas tradition?
My fave Christmas tradition is me and H (my husband) will get out of town and have a week away, just us. Also no matter where we are we make sure to make Agua De Valencias in the morning.
What's your favorite Christmas cookie?
My favorite Christmas cookie may not be super holiday-ish but there is a cookie that Bitten Bakery makes, called Apple Crisp. It is a brown sugar cookie with white chocolate chips and stuffed with apple pie filling, it’s amazing!
Tell us about your favorite Christmas ornament.
My favorite Christmas Ornament is one that Santa (my sister) got me that says, “Every time a bell rings an angel gets its wings.” “Santa” got it for me because we loved that movie sooo much as kids. So I keep that close to my heart.
Holiday bar order or coffee order?
Holiday bar order is anything with apple cider. I love me some gin but apple cider and rum are! Holiday coffee shop order is a hot chai latte with oat milk or hot chai-der.
What is your favorite Christmas song?
My favorite Christmas song is… all of them! I listen to Christmas all year long so I couldn’t possibly pick just one lol.
Go-to Christmas pajamas?
Go to Christmas PJs are a nice cozy pair of red sweats and big white fuzzy sweater. Really just anything warm and fuzzy.
What's the most useful lesson you've learned from being a content creator?
The most useful lesson I’ve learned being a content creator is consistency and engagement. You have to stay consistent with putting out things that people want to see and engage with people who engage with you. If they took the time out of their day to comment or ask you food or travel recs take the time to respond.
If you could redo one thing in regards to your social influencer career what would it be?
If I could redo anything in regards to being a social media creator it would be to learn to reach out to people and brands sooner. I sat around and thought that people would come to me but you have to knock on some doors and hear “no” a lot. But that’s ok, keep going.
