STIR Raleigh Announces “Cocktails that Care” Collaboration with Tito’s Handmade Vodka to Raise Funds for Oak City Cares

STIR Raleigh announces Cocktails that Care collaboration with Tito’s Handmade Vodka to raise funds for Oak City Cares. For the entire month of July, STIR will be highlighting their draft cocktails and donating a portion of sales directly to Oak City Cares. Tito’s has graciously offered to match this donation to help with the mission of Oak City Cares. STIR’s draft cocktails include their 1948 Margarita, Wild Moon Child, Elderflower Sour, Strawberry Moon Sangria, and Austin Mule, which is crafted with Tito’s.

“We have seen how much Oak City Cares helps Raleigh and the community and we are excited to be able to assist with additional donations by running our ‘Cocktails That Care’ program here at STIR” says Craig Barrett, Director of Operations at STIR. “Seeing how much the community wants to reach out and get involved is extremely inspirational.”

STIR will be setting up booths in their restaurant to create additional Cocktails that Care awareness on Thursday, July 14th and Wednesday, July 27th, starting at 6 p.m. Members from Oak City Cares will be managing these booths and are looking forward to engaging with the community.

About Oak City Cares

Oak City Cares is a public-private partnership that exists to support the self-determination of our neighbors experiencing homelessness through trusting relationships and connections to coordinated services that increase their ability to be safely and stably housed. Oak City Cares believes that no person should experience homelessness alone. It envisions a community which acts as a gathering space where all people can listen and be listened to, connect on a level which values respect above all else, and serve others as best as possible;  where the length of time a person experiences homelessness is minimized through the use of radical hospitality and by removing barriers that hinder them from accessing essential and coordinated services; and where community collaborations with government, non-profit and faith-based organizations strengthen the pathways to these life rebuilding services.

About STIR

STIR is the perfect restaurant to sip a cocktail over a dozen oysters, enjoy a night out, or meet for lunch. Located in the Bank of America Building in North Hills, STIR is open for lunch, dinner and weekend brunch. Believing that great food starts with fresh ingredients, STIR’s kitchen prepares everything from scratch. Their signature cold bar is stocked with fresh oysters and seasonal seafood. Famous for craft cocktails, STIR freezes and carves 300-pound blocks of artisanal ice and blends their own cordials and syrups in-house. They age certain cocktails in oak barrels for richer flavors and place other cocktails on draft for crispness and carbonation. The result is categorically elevated cocktails. STIR is hyper focused on giving back to the community as well as within. SquareUp, the charitable organization created by STIR’s hospitality ownership company, assists employees who require financial support during times of economic hardship through the HOPE (Helping Our People in Emergencies) Fund. Donations ranging between $500 and $1,000 to help employees facing natural disasters, illness, injury or other emergencies. STIR is located at 4242 Six Forks Road Suite 100, Raleigh, NC 27609.
