Cape Fear Farm Credit and AgCarolina Farm Credit Partner with Ripe Revival to Connect Farmers and Consumers to areas of Food Insecurity

Cape Fear Farm Credit and AgCarolina Farm Credit announce partnership with Ripe Revival to connect farmers and consumers to areas challenged with food insecurity. AgCarolina Farm Credit and Cape Fear Farm Credit will match each purchased chef series box by donating a box to areas of food insecurity through Ripe Revival’s mobile food market throughout Eastern North Carolina. As a local lending partner for those in agriculture and rural living, Cape Fear Farm Credit and AgCarolina Farm Credit are honored to provide this matching food donation to local communities and families in need.

Ripe Revival, a non-profit who is committed to providing hope to communities through food, is currently selling tickets for their July 19 Reviving the Supper Club Event where Chef Ashleigh Fleming of Blue Jay Bistro in Littleton, N.C. will be virtually cooking with those who purchased a Chef Series Box. This box will include a curated meal kit delivered to your home to cook alongside the chef that includes numerous local farm products.

“We are thrilled to be working with Ripe Revival and are excited for the opportunity to match every chef series box sold. Food insecurity is something our local farmers strive to help defeat every day”, says Janna Bass from Cape Fear Farm Credit. “AgCarolina Farm Credit, Cape Fear Farm Credit and Ripe Revival share the passion of serving agriculture and our local communities. We are each dedicated to helping our farmers, local communities and families in need. Together, we are excited to make a difference throughout eastern North Carolina”, adds Skipper Jones from AgCarolina Farm Credit.

Food insecurity, defined by the United States Department of Agriculture, is having insufficient food to live an active, healthy life. This can be a result of not having accessibility to affordable and healthy food. Food insecurity is a reality both children and adults face in North Carolina. Cape Fear Farm Credit, AgCarolina Farm Credit and Ripe Revival pride themselves in feeding others. This partnership will bring positive change to areas within North Carolina that challenge with food insecurity.
