National Sandwich Month with The Tabletop Team

Isn’t everyone always in the mood for a good sandwich? We thought so. It’s no surprise if you’ve been following along with us long enough that we love a good team round up, and today, we’re sharing our team members’ favorite sandwiches for #NationalSandwichMonth! So what will it be for you? BLT, turkey & ham, or maybe PB&J?

“I'm a sucker for a classic BLT sandwich! Merritt's in Chapel Hill, NC has hands down the best one I've ever sunk my teeth into. I'm pretty sure the owners won't cave on what type of bacon or bread they use. Even though I'm a huge NC State fan, I'll venture out to UNC turf for this sammie, and you might catch me wearing Tarhole Blue :P“

“The Fried Catfish Sandwich at Robinson Ferry goes down as a favorite in my books. I find myself randomly craving it out of the blue! I'm not even normally a catfish person, but it is light & flaky deliciousness on a ciabatta roll with all the right toppings. :)“

“I am not a big sandwich person myself, so I think that I will have to stick to a trusty grilled cheese! At home we make them with using a bunch of different kinds of cheese together, and I take mine with avocado and crispy bacon on the side. My favorite cheeses to use are havarti, brie, sharp white cheddar, and Munster!“

“One of my favorite things ever is a good club sandwich. If I see one on the menu, I will usually order it. One of my favorites is the club at Gypsy Diner in Cary, NC. It has freshly sliced oven roasted turkey and crispy bacon.“
