National Sandwich Day with Tabletop Clients!

On the morning of my 12th birthday, I woke up to a pile of neatly wrapped presents. The largest one, right on top, immediately caught my eye. This massive gift was a bright pink calendar, almost as wide as my bed. In addition to holidays like Labor Day, Columbus Day, and Christmas, this calendar included hundreds of holidays from National Taco Day to National Cake Decorating Day to World Mental Health Day. Each day had a bright colorful picture relating to its respective holiday. As I flipped, wide eyed, through every month, I was fascinated by each page.

At that moment, I decided that for the rest of that year, I would celebrate everything. I would make every day a holiday. On National Egg Day, I surprised my family with breakfast before work. On National Dolphin Day, my friends and I took a trip to the aquarium. I even celebrated National No Pants Day by encouraging my classmates to wear dresses to school. Every day became a fun activity and an opportunity to celebrate the little joys of life.

Now, years later, the calendar has long been thrown out, but the excitement lives on. I still try to celebrate every day that I can. Today, November 3rd, is National Sandwich Day. Lucky for me, Tabletop Media Group has clients with excellent sandwiches. Below are some spots that are on my list. Thank goodness it’s my cheat day!

Coronato Pizza

Although Coronato Pizza is more commonly known for its cheesy thin crust pizzas and giant green salads, the Caprese Panini is a must-have. Filled with creamy burrata cheese, ripe tomatoes, and arugula, this is a fan favorite for both vegetarians and meat eaters alike.

STIR Raleigh

STIR’s spicy tuna burger is a staple at any time of day. With a sriracha infused egg, namasu pickled green tomatoes, all smothered in garlic mayo you can’t go wrong. The only question you should ask yourself is: am I coming for lunch, dinner or both.

Howling Cow

If you want to celebrate National Sandwich Day and simultaneously satisfy your sweet tooth, a classic ice cream sandwich is the way to go. Worth every calorie, Howling Cow is the perfect destination for your next dessert craving.

Sassool

You can’t find more authentic Lebanese food in the Triangle than Sassool. The perfect Mediterranean sandwich, you can fill your pita pocket with anything from lamb, chicken, beef, falafel, salmon, and more. If you can’t decide what to get, just bring your friends and try them all!

Carolina Brewery

What better sandwich than a burger? And what better place to get a burger in the Triangle than Carolina Brewery’s Brewpub? Come by and enjoy one of their famous beers and a Steakhouse Burger made with house-ground beef. Creative toppings include gouda, crispy onions, peppercorn mayo, and more. If you like a little bit of a kick, their Sriracha steak sauce is the perfect addition to an already fantastic burger.

Asali Desserts & Cafe
You’ve never tried macarons like these. The award-winning Asali Desserts & Cafe is perfect for events or even as a quick stop on the way home from dinner. If you’re looking for a light, flavorful dessert, the fall seasonal macaron flavors: Lychee, Plum Chocolate, Biscoff, & Chocolate Chai should be the perfect ending to your National Sandwich Day.
