Local Snacks with the Tabletop Team!

We are not sure about you guys, but snacking is a favorite pastime of ours! Ice cream, trail mix, candy, chips; you name it, we crave it! Here is a little homage to some of our favorite local bites that you can find us munching on all day long.

Kristen Baughman Taber - Founder

“I'm always craving something salty when I want a snack. I'm a huge fan of Carolina Kettle chips, especially the Outer Banks Sea Salt flavor. They are perfectly crispy and satisfy that mid-afternoon slump with quite a crunch! Plus, while I'm eating the chips I can feel good about my purchase. Carolina Kettle donates 5¢ for every 2 oz. bag and 10¢ for every 5 oz. bag sold to local area food banks.”

“We love Sassool’s hummus and pita bread! We get it with extra olive oil and olives and I can hardly keep it around now with my teenagers at home with us!! SO good!!”

“I really love snacking on Chapel Hill Toffee! It's the perfect sweet + salty bite and the crunch is amazing. It's my go-to after-dinner sweet treat. As an NC State grad, it's definitely the best thing that comes out of Chapel Hill in my opinion. ;)”

“I love the 350 Cheese Straws that I picked up at Midtown Olive Oil! They are super cheesy and have a little kick that builds with each straw you eat. Which I guarantee will be more than one, because they’re so addicting!”

“I can't get enough of Wiseman's Gourmet Popcorn! My go-to flavor is Cookies N' Cream. It's impossible to eat just one handful! Wiseman's is based out of Wake Forest, NC, but I discovered it on the shelves at Drip Coffee + Market here in the town of Warrenton. I have been known to hide it from my husband so that I don't have to share. :)”

“Ever since I tried the Dusty Dudes from Ema’s Treats I have been addicted! The Caramel Crunch is also one I find myself reaching for.”

“I don’t eat bread very often, but when I do it has to be the white chocolate baguette from La Farm. This bread is something special! I simply can’t resist the smell of a fresh baguette! This bread is sweet and crunchy and has no preservatives (all La Farm bread is free of that).  This is the perfect snack and it’s great to share with family and friends.”

“I don’t really eat snacks but my weakness is definitely ice cream! For me, there’s no greater place to enjoy a nice variety of quality flavors than “FRESH. Local Ice Cream” on Glenwood Ave. They have so many great flavors to pick from and they always add new ones. My favorites to mix are Carolina Crunch and Banana Pudding. They have options like gluten-free, sugar-free, sorbet, and even dog ice cream. It’s not just ice cream, it’s an experience.”
