Postino WineCafe Coming to Raleigh in Summer of 2024
(Raleigh, NC) - May 1, 2024 – Postino (www.postinowinecafe.com), the all-day restaurant and winecafé known for its cult-like following, welcoming hospitality and inspired spaces – is opening its doors this summer in Raleigh. Scheduled to open within the Village District shopping center in a 5,995 square foot space at 401 Daniels Street (Unit B0238), this 174-seat restaurant, including a spacious 105-seat outdoor patio, invites guests with Postino’s warm, come-as-you-are culture and eclectic design. Postino has become synonymous with serving as the perfect date night spot, host for your everyday happy hour, and gathering space for friends and family to catch up over great food and drink.
Offering an ever-changing selection of boutique wines and craft brews paired with a decked-out menu of bruschetta, panini, salads and a lineup of crave-worthy charcuterie boards and shareables, the Postino Team is dreaming up a one-of-a-kind kicked back space served up with a sophisticated twist. Postino WineCafé draws its name from the Italian word for postman – an homage to the former 1940’s post office where the first Postino was born over 20 years ago – but each location is unique to the neighborhood and community in which it lives. Accordingly, the move to Raleigh started with discovering the perfect destination within the popular and vibrant Village District. Positioned near the Clark Avenue and Daniels Street entrance of Village District, in a restored location of the previous iconic Carolina Bakery, Postino will be within walking distance to NC State University, apartment complexes, family neighborhoods, and many locally-owned businesses. Postino provides a refined dining experience for adults while also catering to families with its inclusive menu options and warm, welcoming environment, making it a delightful destination for all ages to enjoy together.
“There is so much to love about Raleigh, and it just made sense to make this our new home,” said Postino Co-Founder and CEO Lauren Bailey. “Once we visited the Village District and realized that it was a destination for residents and visitors alike, we knew we wanted to find the right space for Postino. We truly feel that there is no better place to root ourselves within the Raleigh community than by joining the Village District family.”
Postino hallmarks include sophisticated mid-century modern furniture sourced from local vintage shops, quirky found objects and showstopping art installations, rollup garage doors, custom walnut wine walls, and get-your-shazam-ready playlists that keep the good times rolling. Plus, what makes Postino special, their simple yet powerful mission to “Make People Feel Good.”
Open daily for lunch and dinner, Postino will also proudly pour a wide variety of North Carolina craft brews, alongside more than 30 wines by the glass. Plus, Postino will offer happy hour specials, including the daily staple $6 ‘til 5pm (a menu of wines by the glass and pitchers of beer for $6 from open – 5pm) and $25 Bottle & Board on Monday & Tuesday evenings (a bottle of wine and a board of bruschetta for only $25).
“Postino is excited to introduce a new neighborhood hangout to an already bustling area of Raleigh at the Village District,” Bailey says. “We can’t wait to open our doors this summer and welcome Raleigh residents to experience all that Postino has to offer.”
Postino will be located at 401 Daniels Street (Unit B0238) in Raleigh. For more information visit www.postinowinecafe.com.
