Jujube in Chapel Hill, N.C. Announces New Ownership

Jujube announces Simpaticos as its new ownership company. Charlie Deal, original owner and founder of Jujube, sold the company to Simpaticos. Since the purchase was final, the transfer of ownership has been smooth for both parties. Jujube is known for their Chinese and Vietnamese cuisine and was recently voted as Best Asian Food Restaurant by Chapel Hill Magazine. Jujube is located at 1201 Raleigh Rd, Chapel Hill, N.C. 27517.

The owners and investors of Simpaticos have more than 25 years of combined experience in the food and beverage industry. CEO of Simpaticos, Susan Tower was previously an owner of N.C. Triangle region’s Deli-icious Food Truck & Catering Company, which offered global cuisine. Tower also has culinary background in Korean and Portuguese kitchens and has worked as a chef in New York.

“We are excited to continue the legacy Charlie created here in the Chapel Hill community,” says CEO Tower. “It’s a great honor to be a part of its 17 year history here at the Glen Lennox Center and the new developments that are coming to this area.”

Visit Jujube Monday through Saturday from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.

About Jujube

Jujube is a modern restaurant rooted in the flavors of Chinese and Vietnamese cuisine, distilled and whimsically refined with western sensibilities. Part of creating an inspired cuisine is getting out of the way while allowing tradition and the beauty of nature shine through, all while putting an individual stamp on each dish. Jujube does both, by weaving classic Asian dishes alongside one-of-a-kind creations stemmed from the heart and onto the eclectic menu. Follow along with Jujube on Instagram and Facebook.
