Il Palio Celebrates Valentine's Day with a Special Four-Course Menu

Il Palio at the Siena Hotel in Chapel Hill, NC celebrates Valentine's Day on February 14, 2018 with a special four-course menu created by Executive Chef Teddy Diggs. Join the restaurant from 5:30pm to 9pm for an evening of romance with your someone special or a fun night out with your closest friends. 

The four-course menu is below and includes your choice under each course:

First
Smoked Cauliflower Soup, pine nuts, golden raisin
Smoked Salmon, caviar, crème fraiche, chives
Farm Lettuce Salad, local goat cheese, radish, soft herbs, hazelnuts, red wine vinaigrette
Castelfranco Radicchio, roasted garlic-anchovy dressing, smoked pecorino
Beef Carpaccio, mushrooms, arugula, walnuts

Second
Poached Egg, roasted mushrooms, caramelized onions, smoked pecorino
Soft Potato Gnocchi, fonduta val d’aosta, black truffle
Spaghetti di Gragnano, littleneck clams, white wine, lemon
Pappardelle al Ragu Bolognese Bianco, Parmigiano-Reggiano

Third
Risotto al Aquarello, talleggio, green apples,
Wood Grilled Swordfish and Octopus, olive oil crushed potatoes, olivietta
Fennel Rubbed Pork Chop, soft and creamy polenta, fennel and apple salad
Smoked Beef Ribeye, buttered potatoes, red wine, horseradish gremolata

Dessert
Gorgonzola Dolce, black pepper butter cracker
Gelati di stagione, biscotti
Baba Rhum, beaten cream, persimmon jam
Sicilian Pistachio Semifreddo, pistachio sponge, pomegranate sorbet
Videri Chocolate and Espresso Copetta, flavors of tiramisu
