Friends of Tabletop: Meet Chrishonda From Food Cravingz

Friends of Tabletop is a place where we share who we love working with. This can range from a client, influencer/blogger, or special someone who simply means a lot to the Tabletop Team. Colleagues and friends who we’ve met throughout our journey with Tabletop Media Group make us apart of who we are.

This month, we’re featuring Chrishonda from Food Cravings. Chrishonda is a food and lifestyle blogger who covers the Triangle area and beyond. Check out our fun Q&A with her!

Tell us about Food Cravingz.
Food Cravingz is my outlet to share my food and travel journey with everyone. I have a passion for exploring and trying new things. My blog serves as a central place for me to share blog posts, food reviews, my travel tips and recipes. In my spare time, I do freelance photography for restaurants, food trucks and people looking to brand themselves on social media.

Why do you write about food + Triangle area happenings?

I write about food and Triangle area happenings because I enjoy exploring the food scene and seeing new things/attractions. Food blogging is a fun way to escape the stress that work and life may bring. Highlighting businesses in the community brings me joy. I love sharing my opinions on food and my favorite places to eat. I enjoy helping someone find a caterer, a date night location or a family-friendly restaurant.

What's your favorite ice cream flavor?

Favorite ice cream flavors are mint  or cookies n cream. But honestly I would be satisfied with just a vanilla cone and sprinkles.

What is your least favorite food?

My least favorite food is peas. I do not use them in my cooking but if they happened to be in a dish that someone else makes or I order at a restaurant, I’ll eat them.

What about favorite food?

My favorite food is pizza or Birria tacos.

What's your most unpopular opinion about food?

Pineapple on pizza tastes delicious depending on how you pair it with the other toppings.

If you could redo one thing in regards to your blogging / social influencer career what would it be?

I wish I could have launched my website earlier. I waited almost two years to create a website. Owning your website is liberating! Having all of your content on Instagram or other social media outlets is not wise because you do not own those platforms. Putting my content and recipes on my website is something I wished I did earlier on.  I am establishing my brand on my website and I am very happy with its success. My advice to all bloggers is to: create your own website!

What's the most useful lesson you've learned from being a food blogger?

Don’t compare yourself to others and focus on creating great content. I think food bloggers get wrapped up with trying to keep up and compete with other food bloggers that they lose sight of why they are blogging in the first place. Focusing on your brand and audience can really excel your creativity. You should ENJOY food blogging and the work you do to promote small businesses.

Make sure you’re following along with Chrishonda on social media @foodcravingz_!
