Friends Of Tabletop: Meet Bobbie of @bdenisecole
Friends of Tabletop is a place where we share who we love working with. This can range from a client, influencer/blogger, or special someone who simply means a lot to the Tabletop Team. Colleagues and friends who we’ve met throughout our journey with Tabletop Media Group make us a part of who we are.
For our August Friends of Tabletop, meet Bobbie from @bdenisecole!
Tell us about your page!
My content is all about inspiring and encouraging people to live full and joyful lives. I achieve this through fashion, beauty, lifestyle, and food content. Often, we wait for vacations or look for escapes as a source of joy or rest, but I want to empower people to seek out joy, make memories, and live fully every single day. Whether it's showcasing fashion and the idea that every day is an occasion, or indulging in a new, amazing restaurant, my goal is to help people love the lives they live.
What makes @bdenisecole special?
Oh my! I'd like to believe I inspire people to invest in themselves. I like to say I bring the razzle dazzle wherever I go. I aim to be a light for others, encouraging them to embrace and love themselves unapologetically. My goal is to show that, regardless of circumstances, your life is worth living on your terms. By living fully and joyfully while being authentic and vulnerable about my struggles and insecurities, I hope to be a role model. It's incredible to see how people resonate with this and join me on this journey. Plus, I share really dope experiences and awesome outfits!
What inspired you to start creating content?
When I moved to Raleigh in 2016, I was embarking on a new chapter. Fresh out of a relationship, I needed a change. Despite never having visited North Carolina, I packed up my Kia and moved after a 48-hour job interview. It was the best decision I ever made. As I built my new life, I focused on creating happiness for myself, independent of my relationship status or circumstances. I aimed for a fulfilling life and began sharing my journey. People resonated with my story, and realizing I was inspiring others led me to intentionally create more content.
What exciting things are you looking forward to this Summer?
I am looking forward to exploring NC a bit more this summer. I do not venture out as much outside the triangle or Charlotte, so I am hoping to get to the coast a couple of times this summer.
What is your favorite place to eat in the Triangle?
This is such a hard question! I am not sure I have a favorite place, I have favorite dishes at different places. Some of my favs are Cortez, East End Bistrot, Mulino, and Juju
Bar order? If you don't drink, what's your coffee order?
Depends on the day! French 75 with Hendricks, Espresso Martini, or an Old fashioned.
Where in NC are you headed for summer vacation - beach or mountains?
Beach!
If you could redo one thing in regards to your social influencer career what would it be?
I would have created a different username...everyone thinks my name is Denise but it actually Bobbie!
What's the most useful lesson you've learned from being a social influencer?
Burnout is a genuine challenge for influencers. I've had to master balancing yes and no, choosing engagements, partnerships, and deals that resonate with my vision, brand, and capacity. Often, we fear saying no due to FOMO or concerns about losing brand relationships. For me, I vowed to stop if creating ever ceased to bring me joy. Despite being a job, it’s one I want to relish, even during busy times. This requires regular self-check-ins to ensure I'm not over-exerting myself and that every opportunity aligns with who I am and the message I want to deliver.
