STIR Announces November Charity Month with Partner Oak City Cares

STIR will donate a portion of their food and drink proceeds to local Raleigh charity for the month of November

Raleigh, NC – October 29, 2024 – STIR is excited to announce that its annual November Charity Month will once again benefit their long-time partner, Oak City Cares. Throughout the month, STIR will donate a portion of proceeds from all food and drink sales to this meaningful cause. Oak City Cares, Wake County’s first multi-service hub, connects individuals and families experiencing or at risk of homelessness to essential services and resources. STIR has proudly supported Oak City Cares since 2019, and this year marks the fifth year of their partnership, helping to raise funds and awareness for its mission.

In addition to donating a portion of all food and drink sales, STIR will collect patron donations to directly benefit Oak City Cares. "Our commitment to exceptional customer service extends beyond the dining experience," said Dennis Korn, Director of Operations at STIR, who oversees the Charity Partners program. "Giving back to our community and supporting a cause that’s close to our hearts has become a core part of who we are."

Guests dining at STIR this November can enjoy a variety of delicious dishes and crafted cocktails while supporting Oak City Cares. QR codes will be available at each table for those who wish to make additional contributions directly. As part of the fundraising effort, STIR will also host its popular Black Friday Brunch on November 29, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., with proceeds benefiting Oak City Cares. Reservations for the event can be made through STIR’s website. STIR is located at 4242 Six Forks Road, Suite 100, Raleigh, NC 27609.

About STIR

STIR is the perfect restaurant for a casual lunch, elevated night out, or to sip on a cocktail with a dozen of our fresh oysters. STIR boasts an extensive lunch, dinner and weekend brunch menu. Believing that great food starts with fresh ingredients, STIR’s kitchen prepares everything from scratch. Their signature cold bar is stocked with fresh rotating oysters and seasonal seafood. Known for elevated craft cocktails & artisanal ice, STIR freezes and carves 300-pound blocks of ice into custom sizes while also blending their own cordials and syrups in-house. Cocktails are either barrel aged to impart richer & smoother oak flavors or placed on draft for crispness & carbonation. This attention to detail allows STIR to offer an experience like no other.

STIR is not only focused on partnering with local charitable organizations but is also heavily focused on giving back to their team members. SquareUp, the charitable organization created by STIR’s hospitality ownership company, assists employees who require financial support during times of economic hardship through the HOPE (Helping Our People in Emergencies) Fund. Donations range between $500 and $1,000 to help employees facing natural disasters, illness, injury or other emergencies.

About Oak City Cares

Oak City Cares is a public-private partnership that exists to support the self-determination of our neighbors experiencing homelessness through trusting relationships and connections to coordinated services that increase their ability to be safely and stably housed. Oak City Cares believes that no person should experience homelessness alone. It envisions a community that acts as a gathering space where all people can listen and be listened to, connect on a level that values respect above all else, and serve others as best as possible; where the length of time a person experiences homelessness is minimized through the use of radical hospitality and by removing barriers that hinder them from accessing essential and coordinated services; and where community collaborations with government, non-profit and faith-based organizations strengthen the pathways to these life rebuilding services.
