State of Confusion and STIR Announce November Charity Month with Partner Isabella Santos Foundation

Popular Charlotte Sister Restaurants, State of Confusion and STIR announce their November Charity Month will benefit the Isabella Santos Foundation (ISF). Both restaurants will donate a portion of all their food and drink proceeds to this cause. The Isabella Santos Foundation was established to raise awareness and research funds for Neuroblastoma. ISF is dedicated to improving rare pediatric cancer treatment options in an effort to increase survival rates of kids with cancer.

The donation will capture a portion of food and drinks sales, along with patron donations made during the month of November. Brent Reid, General Manager at State of Confusion, and Sean Mclain, General Manager at STIR, oversee the Charity Partners program in each of their respective locations. “Customer service is front and center for us,” said Reid. “Expanding that concept to include community service and team support is one more reason why we love what we do,” followed Mclain.

Dine with State of Confusion and STIR during November to enjoy delicious cocktails and dishes, all while giving back to this local Charlotte cause. Both restaurants will have QR codes available on each table if you’d like to make separate donations. State of Confusion and STIR will also both be hosting a Black Friday Brunch on November 24, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. to help raise funds for the Isabella Santos Foundation. State of Confusion is located at 3500 Dewitt Lane, Charlotte, NC 28217. STIR is located at 1422 South Tryon Street Suite 130, Charlotte, NC 28203.

About STIR

STIR is the perfect restaurant for a casual lunch, elevated night out, or to sip on a cocktail with a dozen of our fresh oysters. STIR boasts an extensive lunch, dinner and weekend brunch menu. Believing that great food starts with fresh ingredients, STIR’s kitchen prepares everything from scratch. Their signature cold bar is stocked with fresh rotating oysters and seasonal seafood. Known for elevated craft cocktails & artisanal ice, STIR freezes and carves 300-pound blocks of ice into custom sizes while also blending their own cordials and syrups in-house. Cocktails are either barrel aged to embark richer & smoother oak flavors or placed on draft for crispness & carbonation. This attention to detail allows STIR to offer an experience like no other.

STIR is not only focused on partnering with local charitable organizations but is also heavily focused on giving back to their team members. SquareUp, the charitable organization created by STIR’s hospitality ownership company, assists employees who require financial support during times of economic hardship through the HOPE (Helping Our People in Emergencies) Fund. Donations range between $500 and $1,000 to help employees facing natural disasters, illness, injury or other emergencies.

About the Isabella Santos Foundation

It was Isabella’s dream to Beat Cancer, Grow Hair, and Live Her Dreams. Although research and advanced treatments didn’t come in time for her dreams to come true, her legacy is pushing us to give others a fighting chance against rare pediatric cancer.

In 2007, the Isabella Santos Foundation (ISF) was established through Isabella’s parents to raise awareness and research funds for Neuroblastoma and received its 501(c)(3) status in 2009 . At the time, Isabella’s parents were in hopes that ISF could help fund research projects to potentially save Isabella’s life. Although Isabella is no longer with us, we hope another child can be saved and will continue to raise money and awareness for all rare pediatric cancers.

ISF is dedicated to improving rare pediatric cancer treatment options in an effort to increase survival rates of kids with cancer. Over the course of sixteen years, ISF has funded over $7 million toward expanding the scope of research and treatment and supporting families dealing with cancer in a variety of ways. In 2022 ISF donated over $1.4 Million to its mission.
