Sassool Announces Inspiration Behind New Specials in Time for Father’s Day
Cary, NC - May 28, 2024 - Local favorite, Sassool, announces that Founder, Mounir Saleh, will further pursue his passion for cooking by stepping into a new research and development role with the restaurants. Guests can look forward to Mounir Saleh playing a major part in the inspiration behind Sassool’s very popular monthly specials. In honor of Father’s Day, starting in June, Mounir Saleh will spearhead the ideas behind each special.
“For years, my sister and I have been layering off pieces of my Dad’s duties so that he can focus on his passion for cooking.” says Simone Lawson. “Having Dad become a part of the research and development for our menus is important to us, as well as our loyal guests who love seeing him in the restaurants. This transition will be so fun and we can’t wait to debut the new specials. We know everyone will love the inspiration behind each one, not to mention, how delicious they are.” Both Simone Lawson and Noelle Saleh play integral roles in the operations of Sassool. Simone Lawson is currently the Brand Manager and Catering Director and Noelle Saleh, the Chief Operations Officer.
Sassool will begin the new sequence of specials with their Orange Blossom Salad, starting June 1st. The dish beautifully highlights its star ingredient, orange blossom water. Typically used in Lebanese pastries and sweets, Mounir wanted to create a healthy salad with orange blossom water that aligns with Sassool’s menu. It includes mixed greens, oranges, celery, and pistachios all tossed in a homemade orange blossom vinaigrette.Sassool invites diners to join them at both locations to try the Orange Blossom Salad until the end of June. Sassool is located at 1347 Kildaire Farm Road, Cary, NC and 9650 Strickland Road, Raleigh, NC.
In addition to the monthly specials, Sassool will be showcasing Mounir Salah’s favorite dishes from Sassool on social media through June in honor of Father’s Day. Dishes you might see featured are their Garden Style Zaatar Pizzette, Mjadarah, Tabouli, Hummus, Tatziki and their Monday Special, Chicken and Potatoes in Lemon Garlic Sauce.
