kō•än Announces New Online Grocery Section, k•mart, Amid North Carolina Dining Room Closings

kō•än in Cary, NC is pleased to support local farmers and purveyors with the launch of grocery delivery and curbside pick-up. Due the COVID-19 pandemic and closing of dining rooms, the restaurant has launched this new grocery service, which they are calling "k•mart."

Executive Chef Drew Smith states, "We want to do our part to continue to support these local suppliers while allowing customers easier access to a wide variety of grocery items during this uncertain time." With in-restaurant dining suspended and many store shelves sitting empty, kō•än is providing a space for customers to take advantage of assets at restaurants’ disposal. “Currently, local and national food suppliers have an abundance of food while store shelves sit nearly empty. We want to bridge that gap in the supply chain.” Smith added.

The new k•mart platform includes the following types of products: fresh vegetables, meats, seafood, fruit, juices, eggs, dairy, pantry items, wine, beer, specialty and gourmet, and paper goods. All shopping can be done on the restaurant's website under “Grocery” for curbside pick-up or delivery. Each delivery order has a $20 minimum within an 8 miles radius of the restaurant.

kō•än is currently working with the following local purveyors:

  • Michaels English muffins

  • Firsthand Foods

  • Papasonn Produce

  • Simply Fresh

  • Sweet Peas

  • Fox and Forage

If you are a local farmer or artisan and wish to become involved in the new grocery service, please email Smith at drew@koancary.com.

Delivery and curbside pick-up is available: Monday - Thursday: 11am-8pm, Friday: 11am-8pm, Saturday: 3pm-8pm
