Friends of Tabletop: Meet Vanessa from Raleigh Food Crush

Friends of Tabletop is a place where we share who we love working with. This can range from a client, influencer/blogger, or special someone who simply means a lot to the Tabletop Team. Colleagues and friends who we’ve met throughout our journey with Tabletop Media Group make us a part of who we are.

For our July Friends of Tabletop, meet Vanessa from Raleigh Food Crush!

Tell us about Raleigh Food Crush.

Raleigh Food Crush is my little passion project. I am a total foodie and love exploring new food spots in the area and sharing it with my community. I thrive on variety and that allows me to support so many businesses in the area and help them expand their reach. I’m also a huge traveler and enjoy sharing my adventures when I explore beyond the city for the “Raleigh travelers” like me. I’m dedicated to supporting, and documenting local restaurants, food trucks, and small businesses!

Why did you start Raleigh Food Crush?

My husband and I loved to spend every week trying new restaurants and I decided I would devote a page just to the places we explore to share with other foodies like us. There’s nothing like a GOOD restaurant reccomendation!

What is your favorite food?

So many things! To narrow it down I love seafood and comfort food! I have a German mom and grew up eating really hearty meals; meat and potatoes type dishes!

What about least favorite food?

The only thing I won’t eat is Eggplant.

Bar order?

Tito’s and club soda with extra lime.

What is one of your unpopular opinions?

I’m not a big fan of desserts or sweets I’m savory all day!

Where is your favorite place to eat in The Triangle?

Plates Neighborhood Kitchen!

What's the most useful lesson you've learned from being a social influencer?

Be true to yourself, keep your opinions genuine, and don’t back a restaurant you wouldn’t eat at yourself!
