Friends of Tabletop: Meet Kristyna from Tasty Buds NC

Friends of Tabletop is a place where we share who we love working with. This can range from a client, influencer/blogger, or special someone who simply means a lot to the Tabletop Team. Colleagues and friends who we’ve met throughout our journey with Tabletop Media Group make us a part of who we are.

For our January Friends of Tabletop, meet Kristyna from Tasty Buds NC!

Tell us about Tasty Buds NC.

Tasty Buds is my social media platform where I blog about restaurants, bars, food trucks, & other fun places I visit & speak about my experience! I mostly stay within the Triangle NC area, because that’s where I live, but I do travel some & blog about those experiences as well.

Why did you start Tasty Buds NC?

I love food! My parents made sure to expose me to different foods growing up, so I am all about trying new food experiences. I love going out to eat & trying new places! Tasty Buds just started out with me documenting the different restaurants I’d go to & what I enjoyed. It was originally just a social media blog that I did for myself, for fun, during my spare time.

Do you have a New Year's resolution?

Yes! This might sound cliché, but I would love to put more focus on bettering myself, health wise! I am a wife, mom of 2 busy young boys, a nurse supervisor and graduate student so time dedicated to just myself is limited. I’d like to dedicate more time to myself, work out more, make better food decisions when rushing & be healthier overall.

What is your favorite food?

Oh boy… My favorite food changes with my mood! But something I can always eat, no matter what, is Indian food!

What about least favorite food?

My least favorite food is pizza (believe it or not!) But I will still eat it, don’t get me wrong. Haha!

Bar order?

Spicy Margarita!

What is one of your unpopular opinions?

Apple Spice is the superior fall flavor over Pumpkin Spice. There, I said it!

Where is your favorite place to eat in The Triangle?

Gosh… So many options! No way I can just choose one. But if you go on my page, you’ll see a ton of my favorites.

If you could redo one thing regarding your social influencer career, what would it be?

I would have started earlier! I honestly had no intentions of becoming a social influencer, it sort of just happened.

What's the most useful lesson you've learned from being a social influencer?

Enjoy what you do! This is something I truly enjoy, and to be able to share what I truly enjoy with others is amazing! Also, building a network and remaining humble!
