Friends of Tabletop: Meet Allison from Raleigh Wanderlust

Friends of Tabletop is a place where we share who we love working with. This can range from a client, influencer/blogger, or special someone who simply means a lot to the Tabletop Team. Colleagues and friends who we’ve met throughout our journey with Tabletop Media Group make us a part of who we are.

For our August Friends of Tabletop, meet Allison from Raleigh Wanderlust!

Tell us about Raleigh Wanderlust?

Hey Everybody! My name is Allison and I have a passion for creating innovative and fun content with a deep focus on community! I truly enjoy meeting new people, exploring different places and helping others succeed along the way!

Why did you start Raleigh Wanderlust?

I’ve have always loved adventure and exploring new places and on a previous account that I used to have I would post on my stories cool places that I was visiting and people would always ask me where I was and what I was doing. So I thought to myself that one day I would I would make a page to showcase it all…and here we are!

What is your favorite food?

BBQ, Tacos, or crab legs dipped in butter!

What’s your coffee order?

On a daily basis, I drink my coffee black, but if I’m feeling adventurous, I like anything with caramel!

What is one of your unpopular opinions?

I don’t like medium rare steak. I like my steak slightly pink. Medium well is good for me! If there’s blood dripping on the plate, that’s a no for me!

Where is your favorite place to eat in The Triangle?

There are so many cool places to eat, but to name one off of the top of my head, recently I went to East End Bistro and it’s a dream!

Do you have a favorite story about how you got to where you are in your career?

Funny story! I told a business owner before I came out that in order for me to come that he would have to dance with me in the video! I was honestly just joking around, but when I got there, I kid you not, he turned on Miley Cyrus and started dancing right in the middle of the restaurant! It was hilarious and of course I had to join in! I have tons of behind the scenes footage of us dancing and laughing hysterically! This was one of my favorite shoots to date!

What's the most useful lesson you've learned from being a social influencer?

If I could give any advice to anyone starting out, it would be to keep going and to have fun with it!
