Andia's Homemade Ice Cream Raises Funds for Polka Dot Mama Melanoma Foundation
Andia's Homemade Ice Cream recently hosted a "Community Celebration Day" on May 20, 2018. This special day was owners Andia and George Xouris' way of thanking their patrons for their unwavering support since the shop's opening in July 2017. In just three short hours, the event successfully raised more than $450 for the non-profit partner, the Polka Dot Mama Melanoma Foundation.
A raffle wheel was available to all guests with proceeds benefiting the Polka Dot Mama Melanoma Foundation, while founder Tracy Callahan educated guests of the Community Celebration Day about the importance of sun safety and skin screenings. Tracy also served as one of the judges along with Andia and George during the ice cream eating contests. The foundation's "Shade Shuttle," a mobile skin screening unit inside of a refurbished school bus, was also parked on site.
