Hurricane Matthew Aftermath: Lend a Helping Hand

Our hearts are aching for those impacted by Hurricane Matthew. The devastation is just unreal and many eastern North Carolinians have been struggling to receive essentials like food and water. Tabletop Media Group would like to thank the many organizations, chefs and restauranteurs who have come together to lend a helping hand as North Carolina recovers from the horrible aftermath.

We would like to take this time to sincerely thank two of our special clients, Chef Keith Rhodes of Catch Restaurant in Wilmington and Matthew Register of Southern Smoke BBQ in Garland. These two men have the biggest hearts and we appreciate them for being so gracious and helping our communities in need.

Yesterday, Chef Keith Rhodes and Steviemacks International drove from Wilmington to Rose Hill Elementary in Duplin County to provide hot meals to about 700 children and families still without power and/or in shelters due to flooding. Big thanks to Steve and his wife Jill for helping to coordinate this effort.

Matthew Register of Southern Smoke BBQ has also been working diligently in Garland to ensure his community is being fed. Southern Smoke BBQ will be donating a portion of sales for the next two weeks to the North Carolina Baptist Men and Women Disaster Relief Ministry. In the aftermath of Hurricane Matthew, this organization will have teams from Haiti all the way to the Carolinas helping victims in need. Please join Southern Smoke BBQ and have a delicious sandwich while you help your neighbor.

We appreciate everyone who has donated their time, money and energy to helping those in need in North Carolina. Our thoughts and prayers are with those impacted by Hurricane Matthew. We will get through this together.
