There's nothing more special than a date night involving steamy bowls of ramen and delicious cocktails! Tonbo Ramen is my boyfriend and I’s go-to spot when we’re due for a date night. He is a big seafood lover and orders their Seafood Ramen almost every time. He typically pairs his meal with an ice-cold Japanese beer, but also loves Tonbo’s Speedforce cocktail. I thoroughly enjoy their Miso Ramen paired with a Dragonfly cocktail. Of course, we order lots of appetizers too, the Ram’n Cheese Bites being our favorite!

If you haven’t been to Kanki for a date night, I HIGHLY recommend it. My husband and I had the best time at their Durham location and are overdue for another visit. Their talented teppanyaki chefs put on such a fun show! My favorite thing to order is their Hibachi Salmon and a Pomegranate Lemonade cocktail, but I also love their Spider Roll! I’m excited that they’ve brought their Japanese Stuffed Mushrooms back (for a limited time only!) and can’t wait to try them. Whether you’re looking for a memorable first date spot or somewhere special to celebrate an anniversary, you can’t go wrong with an evening at Kanki.

I love a good ice cream date! My husband and I love venturing out to Howling Cow and sharing a Banana Split and looking out over their beautiful dairy farm and cows. It’s so much fun and such a nice little getaway!

Located on Erwin Road in Durham, the AC Hotel Durham offers a unique dining experience. My husband and I love spending time on their outdoor patio, especially in the evening under the market lights. AC Hotel offers a flavorful menu of European-inspired tapas, expertly handcrafted cocktails, and a great wine selection and NC craft beer.

We love to start the night with a charcuterie board featuring Chef’s choice of curated meats, cheeses, marinated olives, fruit, and grilled bread and pairing it with their seasonal cocktails!

If you haven't discovered this hidden gem yet, please do! The beautiful outdoor setting, delicious food, handcrafted cocktails, and friendly staff will create a memorable experience for you and your loved one.

Bloomsbury Bistro in Raleigh is an awesome place for a date. Whether it's your first time out together or you're celebrating a milestone anniversary, it's a special place. The bar area is cozy, the dining room is elegant without being stuffy and the staff is perfectly attentive but not intrusive.

All that's just the ambiance, the food is even better!

The food at Bloomsbury Bistro is superb! The new chef is very gifted! Fun fact is that he participated in a food competition TV show called MasterChef Latino, so that should give you  an idea on how good his cooking skills are. The ambience of the restaurant is also great, I love the music, the service, and the owners are the bomb! They are super fun and very kind! I strongly recommend everyone to book their next date night there.

As a student at UNC-Chapel Hill, Franklin Street is THE place for date night. One of the most iconic establishments downtown is Carolina Brewery. Their Chapel Hill location is perfect for a casual date night or a brunch outing! Their Grilled Chicken Apple Gouda Salad and Potato Chip Nachos always hit the spot. Also, don’t forget to grab a Draft Margarita or a Mason Jar Mimosa to share with your date!

Julia Poole - Social Media Manager

One of my favorite go-to date night or GNO spot is STIR! They offer an extensive cocktail list and the food is always so delicious. You can’t go wrong with anything but I always love the Blackened Fish Tacos or the Seasame Steak Bowl. The vibe is so fun and it’s even better when the patio doors are open!

Asali Desserts Cafe is the perfect spot for a coffee date or after dinner treat! I love relaxing with a pot of their Blooming tea and one of their vegan desserts, while my husband is all about a giant slice of one of their delicious cakes. Ask their talented head barista, Tim, to create a cute latte design for you and your partner when you visit!
