The Bistro at Topsail Receives Wine Spectator's 2017 Award of Excellence

The Bistro at Topsail is the proud recipient of Wine Spectator's 2017 Award of Excellence. Only five restaurants in coastal North Carolina are recipients of this 2017 award, while globally only 2,335 restaurants achieved recognition.

The Bistro, being Topsail's first and original recipient of this award has managed to bring home the Award of Excellence for yet a third year. Chef-Owner Bud Taylor and Sommelier Jena Schmidt have worked hard to create awine list that is approachable to the beginner as well as the enthusiast.

Wine Spectator's Award of Excellence recognizes restaurants whose wine lists feature a well-chosen assortment of quality producers along with a thematic match to the menu in both price and style. Whether compact or extensive, focused or diverse, these wine lists deliver appropriate choices to satisfy discerning wine lovers.

About The Bistro at Topsail
The Bistro at Topsail, a fine-dining farm to table restaurant holding the recent distinctions of Open Table’s 2016 Diners Choice award and Wine Spectator’s 2017 Award of Excellence, is located in the heart of Surf City, North Carolina on Topsail Island. The restaurant serves a seasonal menu with a focus on North Carolina products and high quality ingredients, many of which are grown on Executive Chef and Owner Bud Taylor’s farm in Holly Ridge, North Carolina. Inspired by his childhood spent learning to cook in his family’s Southern kitchen, Chef-Owner Bud Taylor incorporates Southern foods and flavors into his menu at the Bistro at Topsail.
